PROBLEMS
There may be a problem during a roleplay scene. It is simply human nature. Someone doesn’t agree with an idea, or how they were treated and a roleplay scene may devolve into an out-of-character problem. The important thing to remember is that each player has a unique background and their unique personality; which is good. Try to be understanding and sometimes it is better to agree to disagree than try to persuade them to see your viewpoint. An individual’s reality is all based on their perception. Their perspective may be from only one angle and they are having a hard time seeing it any other way. Likewise, you may only be able to see the issue from your perspective, thus making it your reality and you cannot see it from their perspective.
Suffice it to say, if you do have a problem with another player, try to resolve it like two mature and respectable players. Remember, the codes of conduct? However, everyone gets heated from time to time, so if one person, or even both people can’t see eye to eye, simply void your scene (assuming it won’t affect other players) and remove yourself from the scene.
The next step is to contact or notify a Moderator or Manager. They are willing to be a third party to the situation, listen to both sides, and make a ruling on how to proceed. Their decision is generally final but can be appealed to the Sim Owner. That being said, carry out the decision of the Moderators and Managers and file your appeal with the Sim Owner after.
At the end of the day, we like to see the players resolve their problems, but we understand that it is not always feasible. We just ask that you remain patient and provide all parties with respect while the dispute is being resolved.
